Travel Club Members' Testimonials...

How lucky that I found you through a Google search on the term "most visited city in Central America!" From the very first email to the breakfast good-bye, I couldn't have been in better hands in Antigua. As tormentas, closed airports, sink holes and mudslides wrecked havoc with my travel plans you  proactively emailed updates and made adjustments. I never wasted a bit of energy worrying.

Your recommendation to stay at Casa Concepcion was right-on. It's quiet, lovely, secure and intimate. Julio is a consummate innkeeper. Your judgment in selecting and patience guiding me to the over 12 hotels that we evaluated in less than 8 hours was most welcome. Arianna's translation services and native insights were a great help. Although I had planned on making my own way once I got to Lake Atitlan, your handoff to Lee of Los Elementos was a stroke of genius.  THANK YOU! I can't wait to come back this winter. I'll be in touch as I pull plans together. >>> Besos y abrazos, Susan

Guatemala will change your outlook on life. It will remind you we are all small fish in a very big pond, and remind you of the days where the simple life is really the good life! If you are looking for a place to travel to that is unlike anything you know or have seen then pack your bags and go to Guatemala! We were taken very good care of by George's Travel! You can not go wrong with this guy! He's the best and will help you make every day the best it can be! We'll be back in 2010 we hope! >>> Chad & John, North Carolina

George, thanks so much for another fabulous trip to Antigua. You made us feel right at home again and it was all very relaxing in such a genuinely beautiful city. The winery on the volcano was a great adventure with really fun friends. My favorite, without a doubt, was zip lining from mountain top to mountain top. Dios Mio! Holy Terror, but exhilarating fun! We always enjoy ourselves and adore seeing you. We'll be back again soon to also spend some time at Lake Atitlan and the coast. Cheers! >>> Erin & Mark, Houston

Antigua, Guatemala is definitely a place to see before you die. Such an amazing cultural history, Spanish architecture and wonderful people. We've been twice now with George and have plans to revisit again soon. We would've missed out on so many unique experiences if we were to try and do this trip without George, who has submersed himself into Antigua life and has such understanding of not only the language, but the best Guatemala has to offer. We took day trips to the ocean and several nearby towns (which I highly recommend doing!) . Every excursion was VERY reasonable priced and very well organized. George was also kind enough to introduce us to many friends, locals and ex-pats, all of whom made us feel so welcome and right at home. I give George's Travel Club the very highest rating and we look forward to our next visit to our friends in Guatemala. Many thanks. >>> David & Chris, Chicago

WOW! Our trip to Guatemala was fantastic!  We will be back, and soon I hope!  Tikal was amazing… the lake was amazing… ChiChi was a true experience, and Antigua – wow, a great city to walk, enjoy and soak up the sites and sounds…  Everything went as planned, no issues, and absolutely FAB!  I want to thank you for the wonderful service you provided.  >>> Dennis, Costa Rica/Tampa

When I made plans to visit Guatemala City for a business conference, I had little hope of doing more than the business at hand or seeing more than the inside of another large conference hotel. Being gay, I thought, made the chances of an enjoyable trip to this part of the world even more slim. Fortunately for me, a stroke of luck came my way a few weeks before I left home. That stroke of luck was George's Travel Club. In some routine surfing of the web before the trip--desperately searching for something fun to do while there--I saw an ad for George's Travel Club. Even better, George's clearly catered to gay clientele. I sent George a quick email telling him about my upcoming trip, asked for suggestions about some fun things to see and do, and he took it from there.

George took great care to talk to us, to understand our interests, to figure out what kind of things we would like to see and do. In the limited time we had (outside of the business obligations in Guatemala City), we explored the beautiful scenery and hustling markets of the colonial city of Antigua, we spent a wonderful night in a beautiful B&B, we had drinks on a rooftop bar at sunset in the midst of 400-year-old ruins, we had great food and wine at affordable prices in beautiful restaurants, we hiked to the top
of an active volcano, and everywhere in between we experienced a world amazingly different from anything we had seen before. We did all of this and more without any hassle or worry. Reservations were made, transportation arranged, and all with the best available providers for these services. In short, all was taken care of by George. You can be assured you won't be an unknowing tourist if you're in George's hands.

In addition to the big things like volcanoes and Mayan ruins, you will be equally amazed by the small things. The simple lifestyle, the breath-taking colors, the nice people with no attitudes. If you're looking for something truly different, you have found it.

Our brief experience in Guatemala was just a tease. There is so much more to see and do. We hope to go back very soon and discover more of what the country has to offer. We will certainly use George the next time we visit. I cannot recommend Guatemala and George's Travel Club highly enough. Take a look at the wonderful pictures on George's website. They are real. You can see it with your own eyes. And, it is more affordable than you would believe is possible in this day and time. You will truly be amazed! >>> John, North Carolina
